Could make a pretty nice trip out of it if you can afford to stay in Paris. (Has anyone else found it a bit pricey ?)

Thanks !

always one each way @ alliance hub. *A is very generous and you can do all sorts of funny things with this fare unfortunately no longer end-en-end w/ transborder fares ... they caught onto that one.

you can still book separate, but you need longer layovers since they are no longer protecting you. For YQ reasons it has been not that attractive for a while

All fares are cheapest all-in business class round trip fare found on google flights over the next 6 months, so specific dates could be higher.

For me, ORD-YYZ is $600 RT in business class and just a 1.5 hour direct flight. It seems like it's therefore a no brainer for some of the larger price discrepancies, such as the $3k savings for Johannesburg or $2.5k savings for Melbourne. Similar savings can be achieved out of YVR/YUL if you live on the east/west coast.
It was the great fuel dump threads that caused a lot of tickets to be booked to the great neighbor to the north.

I have found that just breaking the ticket in Canada drops prices a lot
e.g
WAS-LAX-SYD-LAX-WAS is 10k in bz
WAS-LAX-SYD-YVR is 6k
YVR-WAS F is 500$ at most usually oneway on a separate ticket.
One can save a whole bunch stopping in Canada

I have found that starting in Canada does the same thing
so if you have enough Avios (or a BA acct and either Amex or Chase), you can Fly ORD-YYZ in economy for 4500 Avios (20$ real cost)
Then start and end in Canada and return to ORD
(or just skip the last segment of the flight if you book back to YYZ)
It works great if you have a overnight on way back or if you can get a ticket with a free change of dates

I believe that the sale was through Sept 10, so they expired as normal.
