Just book yourself an premium cabin award ticket it's not hard.

I'd also note that there are many, many months of the year -- including November -- where you can do this trip from any USA city served by AA for 40,000 miles roundtrip (coach) -- less than 1 credit card app. So it's not like this is a hard place to get to cheap. The problem with Iguazu is the double visa issue.

I have super long layovers in GRU both ways. Assume others the same? Over 10 hours on way there and over 8 on way back.
What are people planning to do? Heard GRU lounges are terrible...

Orbitz cancelled my reservation.. what a joke.

"We regret to inform you that, due to limited availability, the airline was not able to confirm the flights you requested. As a result, no tickets have been issued for this trip and we have reversed any credit card charges.

Situations like this are rare, but when they occur we attempt to contact our customers immediately so they won't miss out on advance booking opportunities. To book a different flight, please visit Orbitz.com."

SFO-LAX-SFO will probably be a DL award for 10K roundtrip, the rest is all on one ticket.

You would be lucky to get that. Seems DL has changed that price to 9500 miles each way!

Did anyone else get a similar message like this on Travelocity?

I have confirmation codes in my Travelocity trip for both LAN and TAM airlines but it still says "Ticketing in Progress".

Booked!

Booked a nice little 7 day trip w/ the wife from LAX-LIM-GRU-GIG-LIM-IGU with a great 4 day stopover in Rio to hang on the beach and see the sights. 11/4 - 11/11

All for $386 all in. Pretty crazy of a fare from the West Coast. My legs are scared of the travel that awaits

Looks like I am earning 25% EQM on these ) and Q fares on AA - sadly this may still help me hit Gold LOL.

Does anyone know if BA or LAN will give me 100% EQM on O or Q fares?

The 9500 miles OW is odd. DL has been offering 20,000 coach award tickets with a 21 day advanced purchase requirement and a few short flights for 5,000 each way, but I've never heard of 9,500 one way or 19,000 RT.
