As indicated in the thread title, this deal is now dead.

How do I manage my itinerary/check my booking/select seats?

Note that the displayed receipt will be incorrect ($5 higher than actual) owing to a programming error. The taxes/fees shown includes the original $5 WF booking fee. Do not worry about this; it does not change the amount you are actually billed.
How many miles will I earn on United from my flight?
Here's the UA master page listing airline partners. If you click on a partner logo, you'll see a page containing a chart showing the yield for flights taken on partner metal. (It even says explicitly that it's the metal that counts: "The award miles accrued on codeshare flights are based on the operating carrier and their equivalent fare class.")

MileagePlus (UA) earning charts for
Will I do better if I credit to another *A carrier instead?
Maybe.

Miles&More (LH, LX,...) earning charts for
  • United Airlines (UA) (K, L, T fares earn 50%, 25% for flights in 2014)
  • Lufthansa (LH) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Swiss (LX) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Air Canada (AC) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)

Here's the master list of partner earning charts for Aegean (A3) and here's the list for Turkish Airlines (TK).
Are there other FlyerTalk members flying when I am?
Quite possibly! There is a meetup thread on the CommunityBuzz forum. Post if you would like to participate.

The following error(s) occured

Agreed, was able to finally narrow down a couple of combos that gave me ~US$260 LGA-MXP fares on AC but past the passenger details page the now-familiar "The following error(s) occured: No fare can be found for the flights and/or cabins you selected. Please search again and select another cabin and/or different flights. (5685 - 2201)" error message came up - deal is still just as dead as it was yesterday, different carriers or not.

EWR-MXP NON-REF

If canceled within 24 hour after the reservation has been completed, full refund will be given
After 24 hour, only airport taxes are refundable
We will refund to the same credit card used for purchase

The ticket cost is $35...the airport fees comprised the bulk of the fare and they are refundable. So in essence you're only out the fare.

With this in mind I will keep my Feb ticket. Max loss is $$35.00 in my case.

Hmm, I stand corrected re my above post. You had no issues getting past the passenger details screen? I was trying 13 Feb to 17 Feb when I got the error mentioned in the last post.

I gave sample dates to help people, and you quoted me saying you were unable to find it.
So I gave you the full details
Since it was still available, you certainly used the wrong method

^United Airlines is seeking the help from the U.S. government and put pressure on the Swedish government as it is the largest shareholder of SAS group. One year later, Scandinavian Airlines announces to leaving the Star Alliance due to the financial disputes with United Airlines.

For those still trying. Thanks to a post 6 or so pages back within the last hour I was able to book LGA to MIL March 20th-March 26th for $528 for 2 people. It does not show up on the AC website yet nor is their a charge on my AMEX.

I stayed up until 5 in the morning trying finally giving up because I thought it was dead. But this morning got lucky.

Another data point:

SFO-LHR $506 RT in February

Booked 1:15pm PST, ticketed at 12:30AM PST. I proactively sent a secure message to Chase to let them know of the charges, then later on I had re-submitted the payment info through the link others provided earlier.

Wish I had also booked a trip somewhere over Christmas & New Years or gotten one of the amazingly cheap deals, but (roughly) half off for a non-stop flight to London is fine by me ^ I didn't see much else posted from SFO that was as low as some of the EWR deals.

Thanks to everyone who provided info & tips on this! Hopefully it all works out. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.
