As indicated in the thread title, this deal is now dead.

How do I manage my itinerary/check my booking/select seats?

Note that the displayed receipt will be incorrect ($5 higher than actual) owing to a programming error. The taxes/fees shown includes the original $5 WF booking fee. Do not worry about this; it does not change the amount you are actually billed.
How many miles will I earn on United from my flight?
Here's the UA master page listing airline partners. If you click on a partner logo, you'll see a page containing a chart showing the yield for flights taken on partner metal. (It even says explicitly that it's the metal that counts: "The award miles accrued on codeshare flights are based on the operating carrier and their equivalent fare class.")

MileagePlus (UA) earning charts for
Will I do better if I credit to another *A carrier instead?
Maybe.

Miles&More (LH, LX,...) earning charts for
  • United Airlines (UA) (K, L, T fares earn 50%, 25% for flights in 2014)
  • Lufthansa (LH) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Swiss (LX) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Air Canada (AC) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)

Here's the master list of partner earning charts for Aegean (A3) and here's the list for Turkish Airlines (TK).
Are there other FlyerTalk members flying when I am?
Quite possibly! There is a meetup thread on the CommunityBuzz forum. Post if you would like to participate.

I just booked a non-refundable hotel in AMS (Crown Plaza City Centre) for $62 through the IGH sale. This is about $100 off the lowest price I found otherwise, and a small price to risk in case the tickets get canceled. Only going for one night so low risk.

None of that has anything to do with these, but it does point out that the DOT rules are not set in stone and are open to interpretation.

You couldn't pay me to fly UA so I have no skin in the game. Just trying to interject some reality into the "DOT will make them" argument.

Good luck.
DOT can't really interpret it away when it originates AND terminates in the US. Sure, they can use their "24 hour rule" excuse for transit (which I still don't accept, the law doesn't state that), but these tickets leave little room for weird interpretations.

Last reservation EWR-MXP ticketed Monday am!

Hi all - I’m new to FT. Stumbled on the site Saturday while on The Flight Deal. All 3 of my flights booked on Wideroe ticketed. I am traveling this weekend on the first ticket. All of my flights are on UA metal. Here’s what I got:

Booked Ticketed
11/23 7:18pm 11/24 7:00am EWR-SFO-PVG-SFO-EWR 11/29-12/1 $463
11/23 3:08pm 11/25 4:43am EWR-MXP-EWR 1/30-2/2 $161
11/23 2:25pm 11/23 7:16pm EWR-IAD-MXP-IAD-EWR 2/20-2/24 $282

I used Chase CC. Received fraud email for my first itin, but not for the others. Following suggestions in thread, I re-entered by CC info using the link provided. I've also noticed that people seem to have trouble canceling. You can use the link provided in your booking confirmation email.

I had resigned myself to not earning UA 1K, this crazy weekend deal made it possible!

Calling in isn't going to help. If it got cancelled then there's nothing that sadly can be done about it..

Not many PQD's on these tickets but a great mile earner.

Forgive me if it has been answered, but according to UA website I get full mileage on a K fare from Canada to Europe, right? It's the lufthansa flights that are not able to earn miles, with a discounted amount on the USA to canada portions. Am I reading that right?

I would like to know as well. On the Hotel deals page I only found a sale that is valid for December-January stay, and a friends&family link that gives a small discount.

On a side note, my purchase for September 26-29 LGA-MXP went through pretty effortlessly and got the e-ticket 10 minutes later.

Absolutely not - WF is now part of the SAS-group and as such pretty safe from such action IMHO. However this is not the first time this happened with Wideroe - they have been notorious selling YQ-free tickets several years ago...

So based on that, is there a reason WF wont honor the tix? Unless UA specifically tells them not too (which I doubt they will)
I have no doubt they will.

Greetings - Dirk

why I dont see rates

Itried yesterday afyternoon as wel las this morning.

Even NYC-MIL routing for many dates in march, april, may, june, september timeframes.

ALways got fare in 650 to 1000 USD range.

what was/am doing wrong?

(I dont need mileage runs but for wont mind quick trips to europe or asia if prioces are so low)

Gave up yesterday evening thinking that I was late to the party but then I see many new booking this morning getting fare and getting ticketted.

any insight? or what dates should I be checking?

or may be it is dead completely.

Can you report back, please, on your experiences (ticket-wise, though trip reports are always good, too!) when you return?
