how do you book it this way??lax iad kwi bah lax?

But i thought since its same flight number you dont get the extra miles?
So i put in an extra segment from LAX TO SFO then to IAD>BAH via KWI.. it is a difference of 260miles each way too..

I'm on 11/9 along with another forum member. I needed it for 1k. Maybe see you there?

BTW, Be sure to book as lax-IAD-KWI-BAH-kwi-lax rather than lax-IAD-BAH-iad-lax. You get extra segments as well as the extra miles if you get the 500 min miles.

Same flight number is different than direct flight with one stop. If you book the flight as separate segments LAX-IAD-KWI-BAH as opposed to LAX-IAD-BAH, you will receive the mileage for IAD-KWI and KWI-BAH, regardless that they are the same flight number.

As a UNITED elite, you receive 500 mile minimums on each segment regardless of miles flown. KWI-BAH would post to your MP account as 500 PQM.

Please see below your first post for how to enter the segments on .sux or hipmunk.

There's an HIX rate that includes airport pick-up and return that's about $10 more than the Best Flex rate you might want to check out.

Has anyone been to BAH? Is it worthy of a 3-5 day cultural/vacation visit? I don't like going just for miles, I'd like to make a trip out of it.

Also, is it possible to get a stopover in Europe anyhow on this mess or not really?

BAH might be easy to do in a day or two, according to what i read, but Dubai (via flyDubai) is not to much more to tack on to this if you wanted to make a trip out of it.

A stopover would count as another destination, so no real way to get a stopover confirmed. You should be going IAD-KWI straight without a stop in FRA, assuming you mean Europe as in center europe(not east europe). I read, but never have done, if there is a stop where you want to explore, you can ask the counter for another flight (similar to a same day change).

Dubai round trip is $130 USD or so. Not bad, although finding affordable lodging in Dubai is another story. I'm not sure how much there is to do in Dubai?

This is how it's pricing out. I have to get to LAX (From BOI), but it's still cheaper to buy the ticket in a separate itin

I've never been there but one of my friends lives there. She doesn't have great things to say about it. It's one of the more western/progressive countries in the middle east but she says protests and tear gas aren't uncommon. She was laughing about it so I guess it's not too serious or dangerous. She says the beaches aren't nice. I'd recommend staying over for 2-3 days (there are some interesting things on Trip Advisor) but not longer. There's a Formula 1 race in the spring that would be cool if you're into motorsports.

Kind of off topic, but I looked into adding on a side trip to Bahrain on an Israel trip. Not cheap! Even though they are pretty close, Bahrain doesn't recognize Israel as a state and consequently there aren't any flights between the two. Best deal was through Istanbul and it costs almost as much as the LAX-BAH ticket!
