People, please edit/use the wiki so same questions are not always asked.

The current CTA decision on the Yangon deal is only for tickets canceled by SWISS Airlines for the seven merged complaints/companions and tickets canceled by Jet Airways for one complainant and companions
- It's not about other carriers because each carrier submits different tariffs.
- If you are not one of the complainants or their companions above who were mentioned in the respective cases, you need to submit a case yourself for hearing.
- There's currently one person who is on Iberia for CTA decision, one can either wait for results or submit a complaint to CTA.

Result of the current case for LX in brief is:
- CTA found 5(F) in the tariff used to be unclear for canceling tickets on erroneously quoted fares.
- 5(F) is unjust and unreasonable and must be revised or taken down by July 9, 2013 (or SWISS can appeal by then)
- SWISS did not use its tariff correctly to cancel the tickets.
- SWISS must compensate one complainant's First Class ticket and any related expenses by July 18, 2013 provided with evidence.
- SWISS must transport other complainants (and their companions) in the original price charged with same booking class and routing by June 18, 2014.

Result of the current case for 9W in brief is:
- Tariff on file had no clauses for "erroneous fares" and was updated subsequently, which means it is not relevant to this event
- Therefore, 9W is to reinstate the tickets with a 1-year validity for transport between the same points and the same booking class.

CTA official news can be read here for general overview of the case.

Actual CTA case review can be found here for reference should you wish to file a complaint.

If you have a similar case that's with SWISS, you need to file with CTA to get a result through informal process first before it gets to formal process. The entire procedure can take up to 3 months for each and the result may not be same cause it's case-by-base and the reviewer of the case can be different.

To file an informal complaint with CTA, see here. Click through all of the pages to get to the online form for the informal complaint. Or click here.

To file a formal complaint after informal complaint has been closed, see here. Continue on to the next page to see the address or email address for the formal complaint.

The July 17th and 18th responses from LX can be found here:

Worst case, I guess they could book you or me on MH 607, which leaves KUL at 7:25 landing at 8:25 PM... my SQ flight isn't till later...
I'm in the boat too. I'm still negotiating with the OTA. My KUL-SIN leg has been dropped from the itinerary. As someone else said upstream, if worse comes to worse, maybe we could buy a separate ticket from KUL-SIN . . . ?

Darn, I jsut realized they dropped the KUL-SIN segment... I guess even if I didn't want to I'll have to talk with the Darn Gnome...
play it simple, I'll ask for the later flight... let's see if that works...

EDIT: Even worse, TL is showing segments in Economy, but SQ showing First...
this ain't fun...

TL shows the same for me...and it shows that my LHR-YUL is my first leg...I've had to continually spell this out to the call center - but all the other airlines have it as biz/first - so no worries there. TL has not been helpful for over three weeks to fix the KUL-SIN issue...so i'm resigned to either buying a jetstar or air asia flight just in case, but the best is to feign ignorance as other posters mentioned, MH said they'd carry you if room's available.

And my guess is that the call center is incompetent as ever.

Okay, after two weeks of trying, I think I struck out for good w/ TL over the KUL-SIN issue. The latest agent said that he contacted the ticketing and operating carriers, and that they were having difficulty reissuing the ticket. He offered to refund the ticket. I declined, and asked him to leave it as is, and that I'd get from KUL to SIN on my own.

So now I guess I can try my luck directly with the ticketing carrier (again), or failing that, buy a separate ticket from KUL-SIN. My concern, however, is that SQ will deny boarding in SIN because I won't have flown the segment from KUL-SIN. (Although the KUL-SIN segment has dropped off of the TL booking, it still shows on SQ's website).

So, whose itinerary is up first? Mine's scheduled for late July . . .

Mine is in middle of June, looks like this 5 minute schedule changes goes into effect the end of this month. I too, have spoken with MH and UL. MH tells me its not their ticket to change, but may be able to accomadate on a later flight if space available, as it does show in their system that our tickets are to SIN. UL has told me this is a mistake fare and TL never should have issued it and they have been instructed not to touch it.

mine's in May...love getting that call from TL every 96 hours telling me they're trying their hardest...but the "one" guy at SQ that can fix all this is out on vacation for another week so they'll keep trying. never ever ever using TL again

this sounds like a terrible idea. I am pretty certain that SQ will deny you boarding. I hope i am wrong, but prepare to pay your own way home from SIN...

Considering the segment is dropped and you can't get a boarding pass to miss the now non-existant connection, how would this work?

I'm the first one, my flight is early April... I'll try to call TL tomorrow, but wasn't expecting that much trouble due to a schedule change :/

Informal? Formal? I submitted a claim and got the silly standard answer. Can I still submit a formal complaint or is it too late for that?

Informal. You say you got an answer from CTA vis-a-vis IB? Or vis-a-vis LX?

TL so far seem to be playing the dumb card... I had one agent claim my flight was cancelled on that specific date, he needs to talk to MH. I told him, uhm, it wasn't cancelled, it's a 5 min schedule change... his response... "uhmmm.. Ok, please hold"...

after 30 minutes, I got the 72 hour and we'll call you back comment...

I'm getting a weird feeling about this one...

My informal complaint was against creepy LX. The CTA played dumb and sent me the standard blah blah
