Dumping the first segment?

Is it possible to book this itinerary and then pre-arrange to start/pick-up in YVR as to not loose the entire booking?

Has anyone figured out what the blackout dates in December are? I know that January and November departures work, but I haven't been able to find workable December dates.

This kind of question has been asked many many times before. No, it is never possible to dump the first segment... only the last segment MAY be dumped.

Many many thanks mudd! looks like my trick will be to get to SFO or LAS from YYJ late afternoon mixing and matching with origin YYZ and AE could prove challenging!

I was able to get the deal on SFO-PEK for 12/26-12/30. Extending the stay any longer jacked the price up considerably.

No problem. Indeed, many Cdns who want to go on this MR will have to buy a separate ticket just to get to LAS/LAX/SFO/SEA.

Just an FYI for anyone uncomfortable using CheapOAir: Travelocity will price match any fare from a competitor. Just make sure you book the same exact flights as what CheapOAir shows, and once you've booked it on Travelocity, email them proof that CheapOAir would have been $500 or whatever, and they should refund the difference to your credit card.

sounds like a hassle though to provide them proof. What happens if they decide note to match?
