Never done YVR before. I assume that's plenty of time? Any tips/tricks?
3 hours should be enough. You need your passport though to clear US customs since you technically were in Canada.

I just noted that the return YVR-SFO-KOA has a 35 minute connection in SFO.

Yikes. Is that enough?

35 min in SFO is close. If anything happens, UA will protect you either through HNL or the next flight.

That's the last flight ex-SFO to KOA of the day, but you're right; an HNL protection would be possible.

Do UA's ex-Canada flights come in Terminal 3 or the International Terminal?

Term 3. You pre-clear customs/immigration in YVR, I believe.

Seems like a good MR out of YVR - looking at YVR-SFO-KOA-SFO-YVR for $220.74 (with 2 nights in SFO and no red eyes).

Anyone know when this speacial fare will be gone ? I need to find a way to YVR first

Looks like the outbound must be complete by 5/2.

Looks like I missed out... I was ready to book 4 mins after I saw this for a weekend of relaxation after my crazy SYD Mr's... However, UA is showing refare after you select the flights, ranging from $610 to $900, depending on flight combos...

Sniff, I am so peeved...

This is leaving Saturday and Returning Sunday.

Okay I'm not so peeved anymore!

I found the fare for 4/22-4/24... Sweet a little relaxation before My Mega MR.

Hi all,

Me and five friends all arrived just fine on Monday 27th. We caught the 6am from YVR-SFO, had a great day in SFO, then did the SFO-KOA flight at 4pm. Partner and I (both *G) got free E+ for the SFO/KOA just by asking in the RCC.

We are staying at an amazing condo at Hali'i Kai near the Hilton at Waikoloa Beach.

Leave tomorrow evening for the weekend in HNL before coming home on the redeye on Sunday. Hope to get E+ on that one too - we'll need it!

----
Return trip:

All flights on time. RCC rep asked for $100 for an E+ seat so we passed on that. But, we did get op'ed up to J on the AC-operated LAX-YVR this morning.

All in all, was a great trip. Next time might spend entire week at Hali'i Kai on the Big Island instead of hopping between islands.

I hate red-eye flights.
