I seriously considered a 3K MR but now it's not even necessary ;) .

Ah yes. I always go for walks on 777 and 767s. Meet people. Scope chicks. Ya know. :D

Wow!

I just read some of those ITINS to my hubby. He says "I'd love to do that after I retire, but I don't think you know how to get that many miles for $1400." So I say that's what FT is for...there's a whole primer on how to create a great run, he should read it. Naw, he says, that's what I have you around for...you'll be retired ,too, and will need something to keep you busy. But, boy oh boy, it will be fun learning. I already have varicose veins, so he's welcome to the seat time.
Good luck and have a great time.

Good luck. IAH-LGW is an easy flight. Especially when there are 30 people in Y like last time I took them. A whole (few) rows to myself.

I find the red-eyes are actually the easiest part of doing MRs. Can get some sleep.

I never manage to sleep on day flights and find Europe->West Coast/Texas quite boring once into the 3rd/4th hour of the flight.

What can I say? You are a genious! Wish I could have thought of that... :D

In all reality, as I have told you a million times, you wont regret it! You are really going through those P-ness'es quickly... 2P to 1P to 1K in two months. Niiiice! :D

Not counting the double EQM offer that I had already bought:

LAX-PHL-based MR earning me 10,878 for ~$300.
MCI-LHR-based MR earning me 22,672 for ~$550.
MCI-LHR-based MR (#2) earning me 22,170 for ~$550.

Aside from that, I whacked-out the routing on a couple of my already scheduled business trips (no additional cost to employer), getting me almost 10,000 more.

Badda bing. If you want to be technical, it was $1900 cuz of the double EQM offer, but I had been planning on buying that just to get my default biz travel up to 1P.

yyliu88 Nov 20, 2006 12:11 am

Hey, man, it is cheap!!!!

yyliu88 Nov 20, 2006 12:14 am

Hey, you also get two extra SWUs because u will have 150440 EQM by end of the year, 2 extra SWUs for each extra 50000 EQM after 100K EQM

so $1400+500=1900 for 8 SWUs and 1k status and 2 CR1, lots of 500 milers and lots of extra miles

dude! that's free!!!!!!!

am I miss something?

I should think fly on other airlines first then wait until end of the year to fly UA :D :D

Um.. those MRs listed are what it will take to reach 1K, not everything after 1K. I'll end the year with something around 100,400.

patchan8984 Nov 20, 2006 12:50 am

Very nice...I think much better than me.

I needed 70k EQM to reach 1K and I think I spent $1410+$499 promo...

So I think pretty close to you, but my trips are just LONG segements (direct SFO-LHR or SFO-ORD-MUC)...

If you don't mind, PM me you uand lucky's sn...us young'uns should stick together...esp if you do have AIM...we can chat as 3 1Ks !!!

Absolutely. Thought I'm not the photographer Lucky is (nor am I quite as risk tolerant when it comes to FAMs taking an interest in me and my photography...), I'll definately put something together.

Madhouse24 Nov 20, 2006 6:44 am

Wow!!!! :D ^

LuckyCoins is an awesome guy and I am sooooooo jealous!!!!! Before I started this new position, I was trying to find a gig which would require me to travel sooooooo bad so I could go MR crazy...but anyways best of luck xj47!!! :D

Out of curiousity, how many total miles will this earn for you?

Thanks,

According to my Excel sheet, with leg values derived from both past legs and the FlyingFish system, I'll be earning 67,443.

I realized the other day that I have one US-Air-metal leg, the EQM for which won't get doubled :( Oh well.

Does this mean that you will need another run?
