What a deal! Snapped up 12/9-12/11 yesterday afternoon for a mini weekend away. I can't even get from DTW to Chicago on Amtrak for this price!

337 - 3:33pm-5:33pm
333 - 5:28pm-7:30pm

LAX-DTW
326 - 5:30pm-12:41am
338 - 10:00pm-5:14am

There are some declared flights in the thread, if you a list of handles, people will probably come out of the corners...

The fare is pseudo-back at $218 all in, about .05 CPM. However, I can't use my ECV on this - can anyone confirm if PE500 fares are ineligible for voucher redemption?

I'll confirm it... at least for e-certs. My experience has shown that PE500 (domestic) and PI002 (interational) can't have e-certs applied... but ECV/TCV should work, they should be the same as cash, but never tried. Are you saying you have a DB210 bump voucher, and you can't apply the voucher?

I'd presume MCOs and "Gift Certificates" can also be applied.

There's a $479 DTW-LGW MR, which I was going to apply my next DB210 against... if you're saying I can't apply a ECV/TCV, I'll confirm and keep that in mind.

This fare appears to be still available, but at $218, on 11/3 and 12/6.

The "normal" fare is $358.

Do miss the $118.

For some reason, it wouldn't take a cash-off bump voucher for the flights I selected (for some reason). I picked an earlier flight, and I'm in.

I'll be on 333 / 338 on 11/3, hopefully sitting in F.

So if you (we) try to get bumped from 333, where are they going to put us into LAX?

Wonder if it has to with some sort of sub-availability thing. Were both flights the $118 cost?

I'm on the same flights (new sig entry... NW/6/11/3/333/338...), hoping for F, but I'd presume it's an Elite heavy flight (ex-Fri/5pm flight). I'll only be Gold (unless there's tons of specials between now and then), so I figure I'll be in row 16...

If you want to throw away a Saturday, you could fly out at 9am, spend 6 hours in LA, and be back by 12am. Bump me off of 333, and I'll declare a trip-in-vain, and work on either getting refunded, or apply the fare to another route (maybe it'll work, maybe it won't, but it's worth a try). Yes, I'll miss the EQMs and RDMs, but a bump's a bump (unless it's the flight that makes me a Plat).

The nwa website would not let me apply an ECV on this fare. Not sure why, so I called the Plat line and had them do it. Worked fine that way.

Appears that the turnaround dates are now 11/3, 12/6 and 12/7, but 12/7 is sorta flaky. Price has still up at $218.

Just curious. Did anyone else travelling next Friday (11/03) who is NW Plat NOT get an EUA overnight? Lots of F still open, so I wonder if the fare is the reason? Or could EUA still happen before Golds' turn tomorrow?

F looks to be filling up fast. I just checked, and 333 has (6) F seats unassigned, and 338 has (7) F seats unassigned. If Plat EUA processing has occured, and there isn't enough R seats for Gold to EUA completely, I'm guessing that's it for EUA. We might see Gold EUA on Friday morning, and/or all BF upgrades for Golds. But I'm in 16, so I'll have lots of room, and iPod movies. Just hoping for F on the red-eye (sleep!).

Anyone have plans to get together in DTW pre-flight? Meet by the fountain?

I am doing this on November 3.

My out bound flight NW327 (leaving DTW at 12.24 pm) was EUA'd 5 days prior.
My inbound flight NW326 (leaving LAX at 5.30pm) was NOT EUA'd and I am very concerned about my BF upgrade chances!

It appears you guys are all doing the later and red eyes back?

I was going to get some work done in the LAX WC but I heard they have all been demolished due to renovations...anyone knows what the situation is, are the temporary ones set up equipped with free wifi and how far are they from the gates NW is using?

I'll be on 333/8. Anyone else?

Was thinking about getting a WC temp membership because I'm traveling to HK in December. Maybe we can meet in there?

I'm on 333/338 too. We definitely could have a WorldClub meeting (I can take 2 in), or meet for a snack/drinks somewhere in the A concourse. As far as EUA goes, Steve I remember last trip we were on, I got the EUA on LAX-DTW, but you got a BF upgrade, even though we were both on K fares and both Gold. Not sure why I got the EUA and you didn't... don't know what the "other" factor was that the computer took into account.

Update: I am such a glutton for punishment. I realize that I am about 2800 miles short of Plat after this run, so I just tacked on a $200 DTW-SMF turnaround to start on Saturday, 6:40am after we get off the LAX-DTW redeye.

LAX WC is not affected by the remodel. That's happening over in the International terminal. You will be in terminal 2.
