pricing errors can result in great deals....there are threads on ft about many....if you find any, please post...spend a lot of time checking fares and perhaps you will find some...

you don't give any info about why you ask, your goal, etc, nor what your airline programs and flying experience is....good luck and welcome to ft..

Sure- just sit right there, staring at the screen 24/7 - and in 8 months one might just pop-up. Just make sure you've not gone into the bathroom at the time.

Interesting

I have to say that the magazine is putting out a bunch of rumours. There are never any good deals to be found in these neck of the woods. Just pretend you were never here.

That is what laptops are made for - sitting on your lap while you are well you know...

To the OP:
Fare errors occur from time to time. Look at the stickies, study up on farecompare.com, and pray for some good luck while sitting on the commode.

In this forum, you will find alot more deals on mileage runs in general, than you will find mistake fares.

MRs are like SEA-LON for $300 all inclusive (found, bought and flown twice in March 2004 or 2005); whereas one might consider as an example of a mistake fare SEA-ART for $37 all inclusive (summer 2005).

Either way, as with any bulletin board, one must spend some time to get a flavor of what and how to search the threads.

Are you thinking along the lines of United posting $108 fares round trip to match SouthWest but forgetting that SouthWest is pricing them one way?

Nobody here would ever take advantage of coast to coast tickets for $150 total.

Just two things to share about pricing errors.

1) If it's a fare you are interested in flying, don't blurt it out until you have your tickets. Zillions of hits on the fare may get it pulled very fast.

2) The airlines don't always honor them, so don't rely on a fare mistake for an important business meeting.

I haven't heard of a case that hasn't been honored. The AC biz class mistake was the possible exception as AC honored the first one or two each pax bought but nothing more. 99.9% of the time they are honored although some, like AZ, only do it after much kicking & screaming.

Aye, nothign beats standing at the gate saying in a loud voice, "you won't honor the ticket you sold me"

Red face I think that pricing errors are not that common in these days

bnj48, I think that such errors do not really exist. I only remember one pricing error. A few years ago I bought a shareanigiazar machine in Tesco. The ought-to-be price was 99.99 but I was charged 9.99 only. However, one month later I found my credit card charged with the ougth-to-be 99.99 . Hence my advice to you: If you really can find such a pricing error, don't pay with your credit card @:-)

PS: If you manage to find a pricing error, please let me know asap in a private message
