If LH matches with sub $1,500 Z-fares, then I would book. With a First Class upgrade, boy would that be a great fare. Who would have ever thought you could fly LH F from LAX-FRA for ~$750 + 1 SWU each way!
Are LH Z fares upgradeable using SWU?

UA has matched it.....
Yes. Anyone wanna split one, LAX/SFO-LHR or JFK/LGA-LHR (latter is more appealing)?

As g_leyser said, yes they are--and I have had good luck upgrading to F on LH.

SF0-LGA. But for which dates? I have to be in BRE for a friends wedding. I plan to leave SFO on 09/19, coming back on 09/23. I could possibly go for another trip 07/18 and return 07/21. Let me know.

I would be interested in doing a SFO-LHR in June/Oct. I could split the LH Z fare... PM me if anyone is interested to make use of this Great premium fare.

Actually Z fares booking onto UA metal aren't upgradeable, while Z fares booking onto LH metal are. So if you book a UA Z fare but fly on LH metal you can sitll upgrade it (at the airport, on space available basis). Most of the time this doesn't matter as fares with the same price and just slightly different fine print are loaded for UA and LH allowing to travel on either metal over the Atlantic.

Is anyone getting the BA 2 for 1 Club special to work? It expires after May 26 The pop up says it will re-price after you click but it shows me the price for both tickets

Good point of clarification. You are of course correct.

I just got off the phone with VS and UA. I hear CO is also honoring this.

Here's the scoop according to UA:
Fare code: ZR42CN and ZR42CP
Z - business
R - roundtrip
42 - 42-day advance purchase
C* - companion

VS told me that the offer is valid for travel from June 1 through October, and travel must be booked by May 26, 2009. For some reason, VS's website changes the fare at the last minute in the booking process, and the CSR told me that she couldn't get it to work either, although she's going to call me back at 9:00 a.m. GMT after she talks to their help desk. It sounds like all the airlines are using the same T&Cs as BA. I've heard that Orbitz and CheapTickets both work for all the participating carriers. Now, I'm just trying to figure out some way to take advantage of this on a June 26 outbound with my mom where she returns in July and I return in August.

Mile for mile, IAH-FRA-LHR-FRA-IAH looks to be good value at $1356 pp all-in.

YVR-SYD $2700 Business Class China Airlines

I know China Airlines does not have much in the way of a FF plan, but they are offering YVR-SYD $2700 CDN. Wide open availability.

More details on the promotion at their website

Looks like DL's jumped on the BOGO bandwagon, too. NW WorldPerks is running a 50K bonus mile promo (registration required) for NW/DL roundtrips. So at $1500 ORD-ATL-LHR r/t all-in, 4,806 miles each way base plus 50% means 14418 miles roundtrip EQM and 64418 RDM, or 2.33¢ per RDM. Not bad, and you get a trip to London in business to boot!
