Great find, though. What did OP use to find this fare?

Yup, the fact that there are no easy gateways from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic is going to save AA some money. Once you have to buy your ticket to, say, ATL, it only becomes worthwhile if you really want to visit ACA.

That said, why are we running two threads on the same deal?

Now let's hope we don't get folks saying "oh, it's not a mistake -- maybe AA intends to give out free tickets to ACA from a handful of cities as some sort of promotion."
The good thing for buyers is that the domestic airlines have always honored these deals. The fact that relatively few seats will get sold here is going to help the cause.

Regarding Taxes
I have a couple of tickets on hold and got to thinking. I know whenever I have changed destinations in the past, I have to pay the difference between the fares plus a change fee. However, I also receive all taxes back, and pay them according to the destination. So if I was going to CZM for $110 in taxes and decided to go to FPO for $75 in taxes, I would be refunded $45 for taxes alone. Regardless of the fare changes and change fees. Now how does this work. The FARE is nonrefundable, but the fare is $0. So if we cancel, will it not hold that we will get taxes back...since they (AA) will not have to pay them...?
