I've been following since the beginning - I'd like to vote for PHX any date except 8/13

(other preferences would be SFO/RNO/LAS)

At the risk of being flamed.... It seems that those of us from the west coast hoping to attend are at somewhat of a disadvantage in terms of time change and distance. For instance, even if we take a 6:20am flight (out of SFO on UA), we won't arrive in ORD until about 12:30pm. On the other hand, if we leave at 6:50am we can be in PHX before 9am local time. Much more do-able.

However, those leaving from IAD at 8:15am, for instance, can be in PHX before 10am local. It looks like the west-coasters are going to have to do overnight in ORD - not a horrible proposition, but it adds to the cost.

Just something to consider.

Tally update

So it seems the voting is tapering off, only 2 more since yesterday.

Results:

Chicago is the hands-down favorite, at 72% of the votes among those with a preference.

There is a tie between 7/16 and 8/13, with 17 votes each.

Anyone still have an inside line on facilities on either of those days?

Cheers

Put the seminar on CD!

Since VJ is very generous and sincere in sharing his MR experiences, any thoughts of taping the seminar and put it on CDs. Those that cannot make it to the seminars ... could get a copy for (say $10 -20) to cover for expenses.

I'm in for ORD on 7/16 or any of the other days but not 8/13.
Thanks, VJ!

Is there room for one more? I would like to join you. ORD on either date would work for me, but 8/13 is my preference.

I am a little late to posting this thread as I just returned from 4 days of work travel mixed with a mileage run out of DC.

If it's not to late to participate, my vote is for IAD area or ORD anytime in July or August.

I would also be interested in going to one of these.

I would vote for PHX (or SFO, if there are enough other votes), and anytime in July or August would be okay.

I'll be in San Diego at Petco Park on 7/16, and in Croatia 8/13. So if those dates stick, I'll not be able to attend. If there is any consensus about 7/23 or 7/24, I'll see if I can get a conference room at a downtown Chicago architecht for either the 23rd or preferably the 24th.

ORD Aug 13th looks good so far. I do not want to make a fool of myself flying on a non stop from EWR/PHL to the MR seminar. If any one has any suggestions to maximize segments, please treat me like a newbie!

I'd prefer the 16th of July over the 13th of August but will attend either.

In terms of numbers, how many people are we really talking about? I would guess that more than 15-30 would be unwieldy (but would like to hear Viajero Joven's thoughts on what he was expecting).
