I am trying my first MR. I think I have the hang of this ITA Software, but could someone give me advise on finding additional options. Here are the details.

MCI to DCA, would have to depart aug 8th or 6th return aug 13th.

MCI to RDU would have to depart aug 29 return sept 3rd.

I have found for MCI to DCA that
DFW, STL RDU, DFW is only $182, but it looks like I am not adding many miles, becuase they are all kind of on the way to DCA, is it possible to bounce off the OAK- DCA that is in this thread?

MCI to RDU is very uneventfull, with DFW, STL being the only one I can find, it doesn't seem to add enough miles to be worth it.

I would like to do DFW, Something farther West, and then get to DCA, eventually. I just am having trouble finding something in the west that doesn't jack my far $300. Any ideas would be apprciated.

Additional info for anyone in New Orleans. There is a conference of 3k people with almost all leaving Friday. Every flight I can find is full and still being sold. This is for anyone wanting to Bump.
