Help me get AA miles!

I'm Platinum right now but this year at my present pace I'll only get Gold. I need to know how to get 25k more miles this year to remain platinum. Anyone out there have any cheap mileage rund ideas out of LAX?
I thinking of doing a LAX-LHR run in the fall when the prices drop but that still leaves me short.

Thanks to everyone

Wait for a $99 coast-to-coast fare that Southwest usually starts, and of course everyone else matches. You can go to BDL, where I start my mileage runs, or to BWI/ALB/Manchester, NH or any other east coast city Southwest serves. I would suggest flying first to PHX/SAN or SJC, changing to a flight to ORD or DFW, then on from there as you pick up an extra 500 miles for the short first segment.

Last year I did two BDL-PHX mileage runs via LAX for $135 RT each!

Good luck!

fholt,

Sorry for the 2 day lag, but yes, they were on AA. The cheap fare must have been in response to the new nonstop service that HP has from BDL-PHX. The fare was only offered for two days, so I scooped up two. I keep on looking, but haven't seen it since January. I am hoping for a BDL-PSP cheap fare, but that will NEVER happen!!
