That's interesting and good to know. Just now, it doesn't quite motivate me to find my own way Istanbul for those prices. But knowing that option is there is very helpful.
I've had another look at the FCO-AUH route today and the €70 tickets seem to stop on 15 June. So that seems to be the cut-off for it, unless they release a new batch of seats at the turn of the month on a few days time. I've no idea how this thing works, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I had a quick look at this in July and the FCO-AUH route seems to be €157 for a one way up until around the 25th July. Still a decent price. The VIE-AUH fare seems to disappear though. Tomorrow is the 1st June so maybe something exciting will happen. Or maybe the first Monday of June will yield some changes.

Just went to have a look and it's pricing (again) at 180-210 EUR until the end of August. EY is also going ham on some routes (KWI-AUH for 20 pounds anyone?), think they're really determined on flushing out Wizz Air.

This is booking as an RT, right, during the summer? Have you looked at booking it as separate OWs? And is the word "ham" in your post a reference to Hamburg airport?

I received an updated booking confirmation with an EY flight number for the bus service to/from Dubai XNB.

Looks like this is now better if bought as a RT if it's only €117. So you complete and pay for your booking, then add the bus booking, presumably before you quit the booking page itself? Seems like an ideal offer, so if you end up not needing to go to Dubai you can just (hopefully) drop the bus segments without any consequences. From the screenshot above it seems that adding a bag to the booking would have minimal cost.
