I just wanted to say, that oneway tickets from Japan to the US are not discounted. So your only option to get to Japan and back would be a cheap round-trip ticket.

But maybe I didn't understand your question well.

Oh, gotcha. I guess no one intends to fly to Japan with that one-way ticket then.

FWIW - ANA credits United S class flights at 50% and up depending on status. A Top tier ANA member would get 108% credit for these cheapy fares.

I think the deal is dead. I'm seeing much higher prices on UA now.

The fare is still filed on UA; they've just pulled all K inventory, which the fare books into. Who knows if they reopen K on some or all routes at a later time, and if the currently filed fare is still around.

Is it important that they're filed since they pulled inventory?

Same here. Seems like all these deals are gone. There is a message saying "Unfortunately, the price you saw on the previous page has changed."

Hope everyone booked something. I booked for October from DCA. I presume that travel won't be happening though.

Worst comes to worst, if Japan still isn't open by date of travel, you can cancel for credit and can feel good about giving the airline an interest free loan have $200-300 worth of UA/AA bucks to spend in the future, right?
