Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

If a Diamond flew this in 2014, he would earn 12,136 redeemable miles.
Now, he only earns 1947 redeemable miles for this trip!

Despite the mileage haircut, I booked the above. I just have to go back for lunch at Texas Chile Parlor. It's just steps from the Capitol, and an easy ride by transit bus from the airport.

Hmm OMA in Feb for 1947 miles, or stay in SAN, that is a difficult question.;)

Exactly why I've lost a lot of desire to fly "for fun" starting in 2015. If there's somewhere I'm dying to eat at, etc. I'll make it into a larger trip instead.

Didn't investigate fully yet to find a shorter stay.

WAS-ASU via GRU on DL/G3 was around a couple times last year for $600-something I think. Keep an eye out for that one!

We can see that UA is responding to the attack by DL on the UA hubs by now targeting DL hubs with discounted flights to Europe.

AA responded attacking DL hubs, but not so strongly... GRU-DTW is at 900 USD, for example (at usual 1200).

Can you give more specifics on dates? For ex. I keep getting a price of $685 USD for GRU-JFK. If I click on the price matrix it will show the best price as say, $420, but with taxes it will add up to around $700.

Today's screaming viking deal on Norwegian:

MCO-OSL- Depart May 21, Return May 28- $334.50 rt ai.

Also works for select Thursdays in May in reverse. Florida and the theme parks in May are generally lovely in terms of temperature and not terribly crowded.

I think some deals are dead (especially GRU-JFK). But others are still alive, for example, 03-18/03-28, GRU-DFW, R$ 1.283 (with taxes), which is USD 475 USD.

Ok. I'm seeing:
GRU -> DFW $351 USD on Delta
GRU -> MIA $500 USD on Avaianca and TAM
GRU -> WAS $607 USD on Delta
GRU -> PHL $669 USD on United
GRU -> ORD $653 USD on Delta
GRU -> LAX $552 USD on Delta

Dates used were March 3 - March 20, but there does appear to be tighter or larger windows available.

So you mean OSL to MCO, not vice versa.....strange way of writing it.

Not sure why, but AA's DFW/LAS flight price in February has gone down from $192 last week to $162 yesterday, to $127 today. You can even get same day Saturday Feb 14 turnaround for just $137.

Still about 6 cents per mile, but a great price for a fun trip.

Still 9 CPM - though if you book the same itinerary in First, your CPM is about the same.

Feb 14 = Valentines Day. Not a big weekend for a guy-trip to Vegas, unless any weekend is.:(
