I know it's been a few days but is this still around, or was it related to the SW sale?

NYC-GIG, $760-780 RT ai AA/US/DL/UA

NYC-GIG, $760-780 RT ai AA/US/DL/UA. Scattered availability from July to November (if not even later) on ITA.

edit: even lower fares are available on a handful of dates, and if you have a Citi TY Premier credit card.

Any idea about a minimum stay requirement...?

I spent a few minutes searching for visa requirements for transit passengers (or nutty MRers who just want to board the next flight back ), but I didn't find an answer on the embassy site. This site indicates you can be in transit up to 7 hours without a visa.

globecircler did not need one for transiting (on the way to another S.A. destination), but it sounds like a bit of a gray area.

P.S.: What's the deal with Citi TYP card?

AA/UA: BOS-FAT (Fresno, CA) $302 AI

4.5 cpm is about the best you can do on this on UA, and you will need 500 mile mins to get the best out of this fare, though same day returns are available at very slightly higher cpms (still under 5 cpm). Available in september, maybe others.

Quick note, if booking BOS-IAH-SFO-FAT outbound and FAT-LAX-onward, SFO-FAT and FAT-LAX have the same flight number, despite a 3-4 hour "layover" at FAT. You may want to book this as two one ways just to make sure it doesn't try to only credit you for a "through" flight.

From the land of urban legends, I remember hearing a story about an overweight woman flying to Fresno who complained to the airline when they put a FAT tag on her checked luggage. How dare they!

Min stay appears to be 2 days, the TYP Premier gives you a 15% discount on some flights when booked via www.thankyoucompanion.com. I purchased one of these fares for $695 ai yesterday on that site.
