ORD connecting AA to UA
I searched in AA, UA and Midwest forums and can't find the answer so I'm hoping someone with more ORD experience can chime in here:
Is there any way to stay airside to make a connection between AA flight arriving at Terminal 3 K concourse and a UA flight leaving from Terminal 1 C concourse? I've got a 2 hr connection time but really don't want to do the security circus twice if it's avoidable

Yes, absolutely, it's an easy 10-15 minute walk, depending on where in K, C you are.

I'm not quite sure what NWA747SNN is referring to, but it is absolutely possible. I've been stuck way the hell out in K though for AA and it's definitely more like a 20 minute walk, but if you're in a hurry (considering it's ORD.....) you can make it in 10 or so.

You should be fine. I started this thread to address this very type of issue.
The first post has been updated with airport access between terminals.

Going Terminal 3 to 1 (even to C) doesn't require another security line and with a 2 hour window should be no problem. Hopefully it's not today with the rain we're having in Chicago.
Terminal maps are here.

Depending on timing and which C gate your UA flight departs from, you can walk to Terminal 2 - Gate E3 and take the shuttle van over to C9 (all inside of security). This cuts about 10 minutes from the walk to B gates and underground to C gates. See this link for more information.
