I've stayed at the HI Express Rosemont a few times and never regretted it. There's a Greek restaurant right next door and Harry Caray's Steakhouse within walking distance.

I happen to be partial to the Intercontinental O'Hare (5300 N.River Road Rosemont,IL 847 544 5300). More upscale than most but rates are usually competitive given the state of the O'Hare hotel submarket. Food choices include Mccormick & Schmicks and Capitol Grille both adjacent to the rather chic gallery/lobby. The airport shuttle service runs 24/7.

I just researched this as we had a late arrival and early departure from ORD. These were the main options I settled on (i.e.: that you might want to check out) in the Hilton and IHG programs:
Holiday Inn O'Hare Rosemont (where we stayed ^; shuttle runs every half hour on the half hour, 8-min ride; restaurant in hotel as mentioned above)
Intercontinental O'Hare (shuttle bus; reviews say this is a real treat and can be had for a good price; home to the Capitol Grille steakhouse)
Hilton O'Hare (right in the airport itself; reviews say the property is nothing special, but can't be beat for convenience)
Hilton Garden Inn O'Hare (shuttle bus; reviews are also very good)
Hope this helps!

We stayed at the Comfort on Touhy last September, IL411. Now that I think of it, it may be the best of the bunch. There's a family restaurant/diner in the parking lot. The shuttle service can be a little slow, but by the same token they are also very accommodating, going so far as to run it like a taxi service in the general vicinity. It's also a rewards night value at 8000 points through mid-September.

I had a voucher for a night at the Renaissance ORD earlier this year during the volcano fiasco. Nice hotel; but was only there for 6-7 hours. Restaurant and lounge were closed by the time returned from halfway to Europe, so I couldn't comment on the food. We just slept, showered, returned to ORD.
Free shuttle, but there's a footbridge over the Kennedy to the Blue line that can get you into the airport in a couple stops as well.

Quoted the following rates 1 night near ORD:
Hilton ORD: $104 (AAA)
Sheraton ORD: $109
Westin ORD: $110
Aloft ORD: $109
Hyatt O'Hare $129
CP: $95
IC: $119
Tentative plan is to go with Hilton as I would like to get as much sleep as possible prior to my 7am departure (and won't have time to enjoy breakfast). Also will be taking the L into the city for dinner (and back). But let me know if I am missing something elsewhere. May also check priceline though I generally don't go that route unless the savings is high. It isn't worth saving $20 for a crappy ROH room in a less convenient location.
Addendum: For comparison, Hotwire is quoting 4* at $69-76 and BFT has the Hyatt ORD at $57-66 on priceline (Hilton has come up at $65).

Residence Inn O'hare?
Anyone stayed at the Residence Inn O'hare, on Chestnut St, Rosemont?
TripAdvisor has some complaints about plane noise. Looks to be under the flight path.
