What to do with luggage?
I'm coming to Chicago with a friend on a Wednesday to attend an event at Wheaton on Thursday. We arrive at O'Hare first thing Wednesday morning and the plan is to spend the day in the city before taking the train to Wheaton that night. We'll each have a large duffle bag, but don't know what to do with them during the day. Now that O'Hare and the train stations don't have lockers, what do you suggest?

Check them in with a hotel bellhop downtown; if they ask, you're checking in later/just checked out (whichever is more appropriate for the time). In most cases, you won't even have to enter the lobby.
Be sure to tip.
Some hotels near the Blue Line in the Loop: Allegro, Burnham, W City Center, Palmer House, Hampton Majestic, Renaissance, Crowne Plaza Silversmith.

The Hilton O'Hare will not take bags unless you have a reservation, or you fake them out. Not worth it.
The Allegro will store bags for non-guests. (I asked years ago.) However, they did not ask the one time I did this. Since the lobby and bag check is on the 2nd floor, if you take the elevator up, you just look like another guest who is checking out.
