Cheers for that. Is it difficult to get from T5 to T2? Is this likely to take long? Any tips would be appreciated!

Cheers.

There is a train between the terminals (you can't walk). If this is on one ticket, don't even worry about it. If you don't make the 3:30, they'll just put you on the next one.

It is on one ticket. Cheers guys - I can relax now and and enjoy my business class seat :-)

When you've re-checked your luggage at T-5 in the transfers area right after Customs, you will exit into the Arrivals Hall. Just walk past various greeters, and you will see escalators going UP. Take them to the inter-terminal train. And you will be just a few minutes away from T5 to T2.

If you do forget to re-check your luggage before exhiting the transfers area, then don't worry, you can re-check it at T2.

Safe travels.

When you arrive in OMA, baggage claim is very quick and easy (it's a small airport) - and it is easy and convenient to get out of. Have a good time!

NOTE: if you miss it and are traveling UA, you'll need to go to T1. UA has flights that leave from T2, but no check-in.

Also, it's worth asking what gate when you recheck your luggage. Your flight to OMA might leave from an F gate in T2 or a B/C gate in T1.

Is 1:35 enough of a connection time for customs/immigration (U.S. citizens):

Arriving from NRT on a UA 744 (in biz) at 14:20
It's my wife and daughter, so yes, there will be checked bags.

Connecting to UA regional jet, departure at 15:55

On a Friday afternoon...........

THANKS

Tight but doable. Find out if your UX flight departs from Terminal 2 (E/F gates) or Terminal 1 (B/C gates) and get off the people mover as appropriate. There are Easy Checkin kiosks in T2 which are unmanned should you need to print boarding passes. They're to the right of the mid terminal security as I recall.

There are two security checkpoints in T2, one in the middle, one at the far right (when facing the counters). The latter one seems to have a somewhat enforced priority line as of late. Anything shiny and credit card shaped will get you through it.

Transfer AA to KE at ORD - What if I missed connection?

Sorry - I posted this as a separate thread before I discovered this one:

I'm about to buy a ticket from Orbitz or Expedia that begins with AA from MIA to ORD - arrival at 9:30 a.m. - and departure from ORD on KE at 11:20 a.m - March, 2010. (I'm connecting in ICN for REP.)

What would happen if the American Airlines Flight is delayed (it's happened before from MIA to ORD) and I missed the Korean Air connection? - Does KE have to put me on the next flight(s) to my destination, without additional charge?

I'm new to FlyerTalk so hopefully I'm posting in the correct forum.

Thanks!

Can you transfer airside from T3 to T1 at ORD

I am attending a meeting at ORD being held in the AA Admirals Club in T3 (airside) and need to fly out UA international fairly shortly after the meeting (I believe UA departs from T1).

Does anyone know whether I can transfer between terminal airside or whether I need to exit back to curbside and take the train between terminals, then re-clear TSA security?

Appreciate any guidance as I can't seem to determine this based on the O'Hare website.

I'm a FT newbie, so hope this is posted in the right spot. Apol's if not.

You can stay airside in T1/2/3. In T3, look for the signs towards F concourse, then T2, then in T2, just stay straight to the end into T1.

So it's been a while since I've flown back into the US at ORD...I'm wondering if this is doable, but with a serious risk of a misconnect, or just totally unrealistic?

I have to be in North Africa on Dec. 23, and I'd like to somehow still make Xmas eve dinner...

I'd be flying LH CMN-FRA connecting to UA 945 to ORD. 945 arrives at 10:45. I'd be connecting to UA(Skywest) 5780 to SLC at 12:02 (T2).

I'm a US Citizen, and I'd be flying C. What do you all think?

TIA.

Do you have to recheck bags? If not IMO you'll be fine - just don't waste any time.

Before you get on the train figure out whether the onward flight is going from T2 (E/F gates) or T1 (B/C gates) and get off at the appropriate terminal to save some walking. There is EasyCheckin machines in T2 (unmanned) to print boarding passes or else I think maybe they can do that at the desk in T5 before you board the people mover. The latter would probably be wise if in a rush in case the machine flakes out.

EDIT - If you do miss it, you might try convincing someone to put you on a Delta ORD-SLC flight. Given you're on a C ticket it might even be endorsable somehow without any convincing? I have no idea there.

Is 1.5 hours realistic international connection time at ORD?

My itinerary is LHR - ORD arriving 15:21 connecting to SFO leaving at 16:57. Will I have a problem with this connection?

gomike Jan 7, 2010 10:18 am

Well your LHR-ORD flight SHOULD arrive early but 1.5 hours is tight, it can take a while to get through immigration in Chicago.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 10:18 am.
