We are flying into OMA this spring. When looking at rental cars, it doesn't look good for the weekend. There are no 24-hour car rental companies at the airport. Are there 24-hour shuttles, taxis, and car apps there? Although I did search online, I want to make sure that there really is something, and that we won't be stranded there. I saw Uber and taxis as an option rather than a car.
Should I rent a car from the neighborhood and take a taxi back from the hotel? Unfortunately, the hotel that we booked doesn't have a shuttle.

What time does your flight arrive into OMA?
You should be able to easily find out if there are hotels with airport shuttle which operate when you arrive. I think Expedia and Travelocity will indicate hotels with airport shuttles. You might even be able to specify that amenity in your search.

I haven't been to OMA in years, but when I checked late last night, Uber was still available from the airport. Even if there wasn't, I would be shocked if there wasn't at least some sort of service operating late.

We booked a hotel without a shuttle, so I am looking at how to get to our hotel. If we manage to get to a rental car agency by the time we arrive, which might not happen if we are delayed, can we drop off the car before it opens?

Hope this isn't too late for your trip, but I've flown into OMA on the last flight of the night many times. IME, they all hold open until the last flight arrives, even if the stated time for closing is earlier. You can also call the local office at the airport to confirm with them and also ensure that your flight info is in your reservation. A few times my flight was delayed past midnight and I felt bad that the person was waiting for me. They also accept drop-off returns prior to opening - I tend to leave super-early, as well.
