Escape Lounge at MCI
Noticed that the lounge has opened, near A5 at MCI.
This is the only lounge, except for the Delta lounge at the B gates.
Pretty nice and super friendly staff.

Serving full liquor this week. I agree, great staff. Food is pretty good, maybe a cut above the other Escapes I know (MSP, OAK). Great self service coffee, tea, juice options as well. Very comfortable, not at all crowded when I was there mid-week. Fast Wifi. Only downside is the views. Lots of great natural light, but only view of one peripheral gate, no runways, or taxiways.

Visited the Escape Lounge this morning for the first time and it was quite nice. Perhaps 15 or so folks in there at 0445, but plenty of space to have a quiet place to sit. The breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs, potatoes, potatoes with brisket and pork sausage, plus fresh fruits, pastries and cereal.
There was a bartender, though I didn’t partake this time. They also had no liquor bottles behind the bar, so it looked weird to have such an empty space.

Stopped in again this past Friday (same food as my prior visit) and the front desk rep said they hope to have the liquor license in the next week or two.

Today is my first visit where they are serving alcohol— here’s the up-charge list.
