Louies Lounge and Laundramat - Topeka KS

You can't make this up! After a bike tour and sleeping in my truck at Walmart, I needed to do laundry bad! Garmina led me here. Louie's is really a bar and laundramat in that Bohemian hotbed: TOPEKA!

So if you traveling I-70, have a thirst and need to do laundry this is your place!

I wish they had t-shirts.

There's a laundromat/bar in New Orleans called Checkpoint Charlie's as well.

About 3 or 4 years ago, the Newport Bar & Grill here in Chicago (about 5 blocks or so from Wrigley Field) closed for good. Same idea, laundry and drinks. IIRC, they used full size pint glasses rather than the American "pint" glass. It was an amazing neighborhood amenity when you're twenty-something.

IINM, the laundry was gone longer than that.

It's sadly a stupid Capitol One Cafe now

Yeah, it may have been closer to 10 years ago that the laundry ended. It's a little sad to see some of the unique little places in Lakeview and LP being replaced by big chains. I suppose some day we'll have a TGI Fridays on Southport or Clark.
