CVG gets therapy horses

Just in time for holiday travel......NBC news is reporting that, given the Kentucky area's horse traditions, the CVG airport authorities have approved a program to bring therapy horses into the terminal. That's plural horses, but at least they're miniature ones and they look very cute on TV, with some of them even wearing holiday costumes.

BTW, the same report shows a therapy pig at SFO.

I miss having CVG as a hub. I never even get options to route through there anymore.

It is still a hub. I get Options through CVG all the time. It's very convenient from MCO to the Southeast and Midwest.

The miniature horses sound adorable, but all I need is my therapy Woodford.

This is not a DL specific topic so I am moving it to the appropriate forum.

This is the most inane idea I've ever heard of. There are people who suffer from a very real fear of horses. Horses are very intelligent, sensitive animals and can definitely tell when they're around a person who's afraid of them. Being in a confined space with an animal that can weigh in excess of 900 pounds and knows you're afraid of it is a recipe for disaster.

If they are indeed miniature horses, they are about the size of a great dane. They aren't exactly an intimidating beast. If someone is scared of them, I can't imagine what that person is like on an airplane. Don't think its going to be an issue.
