Help! Lost laptop at ord!
Hi, I left my laptop at ORD in TSA area yesterday (11/16/13) in the United terminal. Is there anyone that can do me a huge favor if there today and check to see if it is there?? I called and left messages to TSA and United, but am guessing that will get me no where.
Thank you all. I know this is a lot to ask!

United is not involved and will not help (other than refer you to TSA or airport lost and found)
Edit: as Wine notes, a good description helps. Hopefully ORD tags items (like OGG does) with date/time, which will narrow down search immensely.

Your item has likely been removed from the TSA lanes. And United will not be involved. Focus on the supplied phone contact.
Since a surprising large number of folks leave similar items daily -- be able to provide a good description -- model number, serial number, unique identifying marks (company logo, ...)

About 3 month ago my wife left her laptop at ORD, i was on a flight about 4 hours later (long story but one of us needed to get home earlier) ... get a frantic text that she went to take out her laptop and it wasn't there. I run from my gate to head to TSA. Find someone at the TSA to help - fully expecting to have to present ID, prove that this lap top is somehow mine, eg log in or similar.
When the gentleman helping me and I get to the desk where they store this stuff (just off to the side in T1 ORD) he opens a drawer and basically lets me look through it for her 15" retina mac book pro. Found it and asked if he wanted me to log in to prove it was her machine. Nope .... just let me walk off with it. So if they don't have your machine perhaps you can find a nice replacement.....

TSA does a very thorough job with identifiable items and moves them to a secure area at some point in the day. On items such as laptops, they log the serial # into a database and can pull it up on the spot. Without the serial #, the more specifics the better.
If you provide a Fedex # or CC, TSA will also overnight the item to you, so no need to mess around with heading to ORD unless you're already there.
