I need to check out Manny's sometime. I've heard good things.

Just went yesterday. Portions are still huge. One order is plenty for two people to share. My bf (not a Jew) tried getting a corned beef sandwich on white, and the guy wouldn't let him. Heh.

Getting back on topic, there's a Potbelly's on my block, and another down the street from the office. Ironically, I'm rarely at either place so I've eaten there maybe 3-4 times this year. If I am in town, my first choice is Portillo's.

"As for a good Jewish deli in Chicago...I like 11 City Diner and Manny's...though Manny's is less a deli and more an old fashioned cafeteria (get a chocolate Coke!)."
I work close to Steve's Deli in the River North / Merchandise Mart neighborhood and have lunch there once or twice a week. I think it's a pretty good "Jewish style" deli.
Potbelly's in the city are like gas stations - seemingly one on every corner. I long for the days when it was an independent "mom and pop" type operation because the sandwiches were better. Until I had a heart "issue" I'd get a breakfast sandwich at the Potbelly in the Merchandise Mart. They're pretty good in the a.m. (eggs, veggies, etc.). Now that I'm on a different diet I avoid whole eggs and Potbelly doesn't have egg white sandwiches - which Subway does, and where I get one maybe once every other week. Potbelly is a comfortable place to eat and the prices are right - here in Chicago.

I flew through MDW this week. Potbelly's has the "buy a $25 gift card and get a free sandwich" deal again.
Regular sandwich only, and the coupon expires Jan. 31.
Buy the gift card before you get in the sandwich line, then use the coupon at checkout.

I read a service animal thread earlier today and when I saw this title I thought it was going to be about potbelly pigs as service animals. (There's a thread on that somewhere here on FT.)
I'll have to put Potbelly's on my list of places to eat when I visit Chicago as a tourist. A deep dish pizza place is also on the list.
