E170 Catering Question

I'm looking at booking my partner for a trip to LAX and am considering YX MKE-MCI-LAX on the E170. Does anyone know what kind of catering YX does on the E170s? Is it best care cuisine, or is it the best care cafe?

We're doing MKE-LGA on the E170 in May, as well. Hopefully best care cuisine for that one, too?

I was disappointed to be on a morning flight to EWR in a CRJ a few months ago, nearly 2 hours, and only the best care cafe snacks, none of which are breakfast-appropriate (unless you like garlic cheese curds for breakfast ).

From "My Midwest," the inflight magazine:

Best Care Cuisine, our buy-onboard dining service, offers a unique selection of made-from-scratch entrees prepared by the executive chef of Milwaukees celebrated Maders Restaurant. Best Care Cuisine is provided on most Midwest Airlines flights nationwide, except on West Coast departures and select East Coast departures. Available menu selections vary by flight and a limited number of meals is available on any particular flight. Please note that only credit cards are accepted for payment.
It notes that most flights offer BOB, "except on West Coast departures and select East Coast departures". The language pertaining to the East Coast is vague, so, if I were you, I would place a call to Midwest to clarify. If there is no BOB available for your flight, why not try the new Nonna Bartolotta's on the "D" Concourse? It offers both sit-down and carry-out service and is open from early A.M. till the last flight of the day. Refer to different thread on this forum for more info on Nonna's:

Both flights should offer Best Care Cuisine.

Midwest does round-trip catering, so all West Coast departures should have Best Care meals for purchase. Before all of the schedule reductions, the early morning departures from LAX and SAN would not have the Best Care meals available due to overnight storage issues. The same situation currently applies on the East Coast at the EWR and PHL stations (e.g. the first outbound departures to MKE will not have Best Care options but all other flights during the day should).

OK so sounds like there should be *some* type of meal for purchase on both MKE-MCI-LAX and MKE-LGA on the E170.

It is very hit or miss what gets boarded onto the aircraft. I have had frozen salads, meals that are supposed to be heated (we don't have the ability to do that yet) sometimes we got snacks on meal flights and meals on snack flights.
