Help me save my 26k miles!
Help! I have over 26,000 miles due to expire on 12/31/06. I dutifully used a partner months ago (Avis) and they even withheld frequent flyer surcharge. Months later I found out that due to my corporate rate I was not eligible for miles to be posted.
I do not wish to redeem a ticket or move all the miles onto Amtrak Guest Rewards (though I have Guest rewards).
What can I do right now that can GUARANTEE activity by 12/31/06 to avoid liquidation of my miles?
Or should I just get a frequently flier ticket and then redeposit it for $50 (will that extend 3 years)?
