Exec Status
I flew the final mileage I needed for Exec status last weekend. The online site reflects the mileage credit, plus the bonus mileage.
My wife and I are booked on a Tuesday AM flight, and the flight is full, except for the exit rows - and we are seated in separate rows. I'd prefer to avoid the onboard negotiation with other seat-dwellers... so I called reservations this morning to ask them to reseat us in the exit rows based on the fact that I should now have status. No dice: the res agent said the computer did not reflect status, and there was nothing she could do. She sent me over to the MM service office, which is, of course, closed today.
Any suggestions (other than arriving exceptionally early for the flight)?

If I could name the most important thing I've learned from Flyertalk, it's that if you call an agent and don't get the answer you like. Thank them, hang up and call again.

Talked to MM customer service. Apparently the record hadn't been updated to allow pre-booking of the exit rows. She took care of my upcoming flight, and all is well...
