Question about Qatari/Kuwait customs

Has anyone had possessions confiscated upon entrance/exit from either Doha or Kuwait?

Its been such a long time, but I had religious stuff removed and confiscated. Of course I did not have anything else that could have been taken other than that. In general rules are not that rigid, it depends on the person who checks you - it could be for the good, out OTOH ...

I've been through Qatar a couple of times recently, including two days ago, with no incident. Of course, I didn't have anything that could be confiscated. I'd be surprised if nowadays they confiscated religious materials. Don't know about alcohol, but if I recall correctly they have duty-free for inbound passengers in which they sell it.

I cannot speak to Kuwait, but alcohol is banned in the country, so it's a fair bet that you can't bring that in legally.
