Kuwait Entry Questions
I am traveling to Kuwait in December and have a couple questions regarding entry requirements for US Citizens. I understand that a visa can be obtained at the port of entry. Do I only need my passport to get the entry visa, or do I need to have all the paperwork and additional passport photos when I arrive in KWI. Also, I will be leaving Kuwait for about 5 days, heading to Jordan, and then will return to Kuwait for 2 days before departure back to the states, does this require a different visa, or can I have multiple entries on the visa issued at the airport. Any help would be great!!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

OK each entry will be a new visa.
You get off the plane and walk toward the arrivals hall, but before you go down the stairs, on the left is a row of desks for visa issuing (easy to spot they have black leather chairs in front). At the extreme left end is a white machine with a blue button.
Push the button and you get a numbered ticket, then wait for your number to flash up on one of the desks. You hand them your passport and they process it. I have never given photos or ever paid.. but then maybe I have been lucky the four times I have done this process this year (I have UK passport btw).
It only takes a few minutes to issue, the clerk will then pass it along to a guy in uniform and both your visa (a big loose paper) and passport will be stamped by this second official.
Then you proceed downstairs and skip the lines at the immigration desks, as you are already stamped.
Keep the visa with you. You'll need to show it to your hotel at registration and will need to hand it back when you exit Kuwait. I normally staple into my passport.
You'll also need to keep your passport with you at all times when in Kuwait.
Hope this helps.

Thanks GUWonder and GK!!
I have been talking with my friend in Kuwait and he has offered to get us entry visas to relieve some of the stress with getting a landing visa. My friend is going to drop off the visas at the visa office on our day of arrival, and we just go and pick them when we arrive from LHR. GK, is the visa office easy to spot? Also, what should we know about the customs process. I understand that many western movies are not allowed, but what else should we be careful about bringing? Any thing you would suggest seeing while in Kuwait? Thanks again for your help!

There is no stress on the visa process I described at all.. I really don't think you need to trouble your friend.
All bags are xrayed on way in.. avoid DVDs and any religious items and alcohol of course. again, this is hardly stressful.
I have a harder and more annoying time entering the US than I do going into Kuwait.
As for things to see, check the guide books, I just go there to work, sleep and eat.
