DXB Separate Tickets Question

Hello Experts,

I am having two Separate tickets CDG-DXB on Air France and Different ticket DXB-BOM (Indigo) with 6 hours in DXB. My India Passport doesn't give free Visa on Arrival.
Question
Do I need to apply for Transit Visa for this and I need to exit with my luggage and re-entry ?
Or
Can I go to Connection Desk and get the luggage transferred without exit ?

Anybody had similar situation ?

I'm also in a similar situation, arriving on Ethiopian from Addis and connecting on Emirates to Trivandrum with a 17hr connect on the same day. Traveling on an Indian passport Would like to know the best way for this, and how to apply for transit visa if needed as the UAE govt website shows it can only be applied by a UAE based airline.

If you traveling with Emirates then you can apply online with Emirates. There are instruction on how to apply under manage Booking and Visa. My Flights are with Indigo so I think I need a Travel agent or somebody.

Is that the case even if I am arriving on an another airline (Ethiopian) and connecting on Emirates on a separate ticket? I called up Emirates call centre and they seemed not to know exactly if they'll provide a visa or not.

Have you guys checked Timatic? If it says no transit visa required, then there should be airside transit and you shouldn't have a problem at check in.

Main question is how to Checked luggage transferred to Different airlines if we don't go thru immigration ? Did anybody has experience ? If there is no checked luggage then I think you can go to connection flight desk and get the new boarding pass for different ticket (if online check in is not allowed) and transfer between terminals with internal Bus Services at Dubai airport.

Depending on your connection time you can apply for transit visa for "48 hour Transit " or "96 hours Transit Visa"

I had Chat with Dubia Airport customer support and they confirmed that Transfer Desk (Connection Desk) will be able to transfer the checked Luggage to connecting airlines. Hopefully its work ok and don't need to use Transit Visa option.
