Cairo during Ramadan?

I'm going to be in CAI on 17-19 July, which is during Ramadan. A couple of questions:

1. Are the opening hours at the Giza pyramids/Sphinx reduced due to Ramadan?

2. I assume that the Western hotels (e.g., Four Seasons, Fairmont) will have open restaurants during the day (allbeit, behind blackout curtains).

3. I've been in DXB, AUH, DOH, and MLE during Ramadan, but is there anything that I should be aware of in CAI that may be different or that may prevent me from seeing the pyramids?

For what it's worth, I've been to CAI before, but not during Ramadan.

Thanks!

It's quiet during Ramadan, probably more so this year as it falls within the hot season. The western hotels should operate as normal. Best advice would be to contact the hotel you're staying at to confirm plans to visit the sites. As there are protests everyday, it is impossible to predict what sites may be open or closed.
