Egypt wireless internet solutions?

We're going to be in Egypt for a week and because of some family health problems back home, it'll be important that we have remedial internet access for checking emails and whatnot. We'll be in Cairo for part of the trip and that'll obviously be easy as the hotel has access. But then we're doing a Nile cruise and the boat does not have internet. What I'm wondering is if there is some kind of USB dongle I can get that will give us basic access. Does Egypt have any of these pre-paid deals? Thanks for any tips!

BTW we will have blackberries with us, but I'm not sure what coverage will be like.

I don't know about a laptop dongle, but I do know that Vodafone, Mobinil and Etisalat offer SIM cards for unlocked phones/smartphones that can also cover data usage.

This link gets mentioned a lot when this question is raised, but I don't know how current the information is.

I'm also traveling to Egypt in the near future, and I may be looking to pick one of these up during my stay in Alexandria. From what I've gathered, Etisalat is the most affordable option. But, depending on how prevalent wifi is (in my hotel and conference site), I may just rely on that.
