Is it possible for someone with access to the IAD International Lounge to pass along access to someone else... like sending ff pts to someone ? What would be the value in $ or pts for someone to pass along access if true.

Well, in this forum, we let members with lounge access make their availabilty known to others for the purposes of meeting up and, if needed, guest access.

This is done out of goodwill and sense of FT Community. What you seem to be asking is more along the lines of a Coupon Connection transaction.

if by "Internation Lounge" you mean one of the airline lounges, like UA's RCC or LH's Senator lounge, then in general no because the access is tied to the individual.
You can purchase one time / day-access from many of the lounges, RCC is $50 in person/$39 online. Also in some cases at check-in premium cabin passagners will be giving access passes good for that day only but your ticket will likley still be checked on entry.

On 10/11, I'm flying from PIT into A Concourse on United Express and need to get to the United gates at C Concourse as fast as possible (for flight to SFO). I had no idea it was so far away. How do I get there and will I need to exit/reenter through a secure checkpoint?

You don't have to redo security, you do have to walk a bit with a train in between.

Note, your uax flight may also land in C or D (D is connected to C); If it does arrive in A, follow the signs and people, up the escalators (2 of them) then across the overpass, down an escalator, and make a u-turn towards the trains, there will be signs. Head down another escalator to the train station, and take it towards terminal C. When you arrive, you will need to walk (there is a moving walkway for part of the hike) and then take an escalator up into the terminal. Turn right or left based on your gate assignment. Its walkable obviously, but the distances are not short.

Depending on the gates you get this can take from 15-25 minutes between walking, waiting for a train and getting to your gate. Of course your pace will have a lot to do with the timing too

Believe I am in the same situation as the poster you helped. If you can imagine, I cancelled (what I thought) was a more cumbersome connection to connect in IAD. (Hoped my UAX would go into D/C but looks as though it's A

Looks as if I'm in on UAX into the A gates, out of C20 with only 40 minutes to connect.

Are the signs/trains show destination of Terminal D?

Is it all walkable or walk/train/walk (I'm just not sure how long the wait for train might be).

I'm assuming A/B and C/D are just each two long terminals. With a train in between? Thanks for any advice/help

I am planning a trip from GVA to SFO with UA/CO beginning of next year. The best prices and best connection times are via IAD or EWR

Having read through this post, I presume I should arrive into C gates and leave from C or D gates, Is 1h - 1h30 enough time to clear immigration and recheck my bags as to my understanding this will have to be done in IAD and not in SFO?

Or am I completely nuts and I should try and go for a later flight? or connect via EWR?

If the stars are aligned, this is easy. As a connecting pax, you will be directed to the mid-field checkpoint, clear entry formalities (including with your bags), drop the bags back off at UA's re-check, clear TSA security and head for your gate which will be somewhere from a 1-12 minute walk depending on specific location.

If you are nervous, not familiar or just like to take your time, book a later IAD-SFO leg. There are 8 such flights/day and there is no reason to fret.
