Redskins Ticket from Scalper??
I'll be in DC on August 18th, and was thinking of going out to Fedex field to watch the Redskins play the Steelers. I'm not a rabid fan, but would like to get a good seat at a good price. The game starts at 8 PM. If I show up at 8:10, do you think I would get a much better deal on a ticket from someone selling out front then if I show up at 7:30 PM??
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in a mid-sized Oregon town and don't go to many pro sporting events, so I'm not real keen on how the system for buying tickets at the game works.
Thanks!
keith

This is a preseason game. Even though the place is all season tix apparently (as I recall), a preseason game shouldn't be a big deal. You might be better off arranging ahead of time on StubHub:

I'm sure someone else will know more, but for a preseason game I can't imagine there will be nearly as big of a scalper scene where you would get a deal on the already started game. (After all, these games are meaningless.

you may want to check out craigslist, as well although there is some risk as with any online transactions of that nature where the other person is fairly anonymous. enjoy the game

just be very careful. Last year we went to a game and the couple in line in front of us had tickets bought from a scalper that turned out to be counterfit and they were not allowed in the game. The only difference between our tickets and theirs were that any gold on out ticket was very bright and metal looking, the gold on their tickets was more ink than metal looking. Hope that helps.

Officially all season tickets are sold out. However, a lot of season ticket holders are scalpers/brokers. But preseason games are easy to find tickets for sale. I would suggest checking out www.extremeskins.com and their classifieds section (in addition to seeing what you can find on craigslist, ebay, stubhub, etc).
