BWI Amtrak Shuttle
In my experience, this shuttle runs fairly frequently on weekdays (I never seem to have to wait more than a few minutes).
Is it the same story on weekends? I'll be taking an Amtrak train arriving at BWI at 7:52 on a Saturday night and will have a flight leaving at 8:55 - how frequently will the shuttles be running?
If it's very delayed for some reason, are there usually cabs waiting at the station?

The posted schedule does not change on weekends or holidays, though late nights I believe it drops to every 20 minutes. But you are cutting it awfully close, especially if the train is delayed. I've never waited more than 5 minutes or so for a cab to arrive, but then I've never flown out of BWI on a Saturday night before.

Make certain you are on a train that starts in DC, not one the orange blossom special, or some such. The thrains from FL, and the south have a tendency to be late in hour units, or day units.

1. Search and find the Terminal Map
2. Search and find the passage between B & C that is behind the security gates. very important walkway, when B is backed up to the Harbor tunnel.
They can't even get the terminal map right.
try calling BWI Rail Station, please call 410-672-6169.
I do not think it is under the control of the MD politicols.

I don't think the schedule is posted anywhere except on the signs in front of the station where the shuttle stops. Unfortunately, I don't have any flights through there for a few weeks.

Went through BWI yesterday. For future reference, the schedule next to the shuttle stop at the rail station reads every 15 minutes from 5am to 1am and every 25 minutes between 1am and 5am. Another, conflicting sign in the parking garage says every 10 minutes, but I'm pretty sure that is now incorrect.

are you checking bags? if so, that's cutting it really close. i've had experiences where it takes 20-25 minutes to get from the marc station to the terminal. i'm heading up there from union station thursday for a 1:20pm flight, and i'm taking the 11:15 train to BWI. get in at 11:45. that's probably about as close as i would recommend. an hour? cutting close IMO.
and yes, there are cabs. i would probably recommend that. i think it's like $15, but i've never done it so i couldn't tell you.
