Groundhog Day?

Watched the movie again the other day as it's the 40th Anniversary or something.

Always be meaning to go to Punxsutawney to see if it's anything like what you see in the movie, even if it's some gimmicky thing.

So, anyone done this, or know anything about it? Read a few bits that say it's free (or $$$ for dinners etc.), but not a lot of info.

It might be hidden in the depths of OMNI, but I thought some people talked about going to Punxsutawney. IIRC, they basically said it's an overcrowded, drunken tourist trap.

edited to add: Found it! it's Groundhog Day again ... will Punxsutawney Phil see its shadow?

If you go, say hi to Ned Ryerson for me

It's Punxsutawney. The only thing going for it is that it is a drunken tourist trap.

If it's not too early, the flapjacks are pretty good.

Fair enough. But I feel like you can get good flapjacks a lot of places that aren't drunken tourist traps.

But in Punxsutawney, there are no rules. You can even decide to drive on the train tracks (which I happen to think is a pretty good rule) and then head out for some flapjacks. That's what makes Punxsutawney flapjacks a food for a God, not a food for The God, but definitely food for a God.

Sorry. Had to go there.
