You mean, Global Entry? $100 for five years and it all-but-guarantees PreCheck (in that it's not unheard of but practically speaking you will always get PreCheck with GE). If that fits your travel patterns, then yes.

If you have over $1 billion in net worth, I'd say a Global Express is definitely worth it. It will make international trips much more relaxing and enjoyable, and you won't even have to worry about Dulles, just pick your airport!
If you mean Global Entry, I'd say how worth it is depends on how easy it is for you to get to the interview location. In my case I would have to take a day off of work and spend at least 3 hours in each direction to get there, which negates any time savings I would get after international trips, since I only travel internationally a few times/year. However, if you travel internationally frequently, and live next door to an interview site, then absolutely its worth it.

You're talking about $20/year for Global Entry and TSa PreCheck. If you just get into one bad international arrivals situation in five years, you would have gladly paid a lot more to avoid it.
Just do it.
Just do it.

I have had more then one trip where Global Entry has been worth the cost alone. Can't tell you how nice it was to skip the regular TSA line at JFK T5 on 1/1 heading back to DC.
45 minute line cut down to 5 minutes because of PreCheck on Global Entry.

It can vary widely by location, so if your home airport has a large backlog it's worth looking for appointments elsewhere. When I applied SFO had a several month wait but I was going to be in LAS so I did my interview there.

Also, if you have a few days where you are flexible coming up, check for last minute cancellations. I had a 6 month wait originally (years ago, when only like 4 airports were doing it) Checked 2 days later and I was in CLT, appointment available the next day - bingo - done
