IAD - how long for security

IAD - how long for security
Flying to central america at 10 AM thursday Jan 7th. I know they recommend 3 hours for International flights but is this enough due to higher security after the christmas day terror fiasco? 7 am or earlier? I will be with a group of 8 and we are getting dropped off at front gate not parking..................
