I've been to P.V. a number of times. Here's a good web site for information... http://www.visitpuertovallarta.com/

Puerto Vallarta has a lot of good restaurants and decent tequila flows freely, since P.V. is in Jalisco State, which is the area in Mexico that produces great Blue Agave distilled tequilas.

PV is actually my favorite Mexican city. There are some fabulous restaurants - Go to Trip Advisor and check out the restaurant threads for PV (for sure try La Palapa, Cafe de Artistes, and last but most important, Le Bistro on the Rio Cuale). There are also some great restaurants right in the Marina).
