Question First time to Los Cabos - Looking for dining and touring recommendations

I apologize if there is a thread somewhere with this information. I spent quite some time reading the Mexico threads and couldn't find much information on Cabo other than it being a good idea to rent a car instead of using taxi's. (Thanks for the advice FT members)

We will be in Cabo San Lucas from August 18-24 and staying at the Westin on reward points (and hopefully getting a suite night upgrade as well.) I'm looking for any recommendations for good places to eat in the evenings as well as finding out if there are any worthwhile day trips or excursions worth doing in the area. My husband is pretty exhausted and is looking forward to a few days of total relaxation on the beach/pool and we would be fine not doing much other than reading, sleeping, shopping. But if there are some interesting excursions we may want to do a couple.

Any suggestions you have would be great! And, if you have any information on the Westin that would be lovely too!

You most likely are still in Cabo today...hopefully, you did not get 'rained out' last week...
a fun place to eat is Gordo Lele's (Fat Lele) a dive of a place, but the 'atmosphere' is well known on trip advisor. Good food, priced right and if in the 'mood' Javier will sing his Beatles songs with a 10 cent Ukulele for accompaniment.....The Office on Medrano beach is another good place to eat, albeit with higher prices.. As far as excursions check with Viator.com it is the Cabo Grey Lines link and can offer you inexpensive transfers to SJD as well as local tours to Todos Santos on the Pacific coast..
ENJOY !
