Free + paid night: how does it count?
 

I earned 1 free night, and it looks like I'll need to stay 2 nights, most likely at the same property. Normally, T&Cs state that regardless of check-in / check-out activity, consecutive nights at the same property counts as one "stay". But if I use the "1 night free at category 1-4" certificate, and pay for the second night, would the second night count for the purposes of a MegaBonus "stay"? Or should I play it safe and just stay at a different Marriott property the second night? :D

Hi Daniel,

Your stay of 1 reward night and 1 paid night will count towards the MegaBonus promotion. You do not need to change to another property for the second night-the system should read the second night and give you the proper credit.

Let me know if your account does not record the 2nd night as a promotional night.

Why is this award restricted to non-guest, member only?

I just tried to use it and found out that is it indeed restricted.
