Do points for a stay all post at once?

Hi,

I've just had a stay at the JW Marriott in Dubai (checked out 19/02/2008).

The following day, my account had been updated with approx. 500 points. However, I was due around 12,000 points for the stay. Also, the 'nights this year' has not been updated.

I suspect the 500 points is for 'incidentals' (meal, drink etc.).

Is this normal? Will I get the points & nights later, or should I get in touch with Marriott customer services?

Thanks,
Rick

The 500 points could be the Platinum arrival gift, although mine has always posted with the stay's points.

Did you rent a car in the past month and request Marriott Rewards credit? It could be from that.

Marriott's website should be able to show you exactly where the 500 pts came from. Just log in and navagate to your Marriott Rewards Activity webpage. From there, either the description will tell you what it is, or if it is from a specific hotel, you might see a little sideways pointing triangle. If you left-click the triangle, it will point downwards and expand the entry to show you all the details from the entry. If the entry is your Plat arrival bonus, it will tell you that.

Thanks.

It's showing as JW Marriott Dubai. 438 base points plus 131 bonus.

Interestingly, the dates are showing as :-

2/19/2008 - 2/19/2008

I actually checked in on the 16th, and stayed 16th, 17th & 18th.

So, it looks like something is definitely screwy.

Cheers,
Rick
