Yes, you do, but it always requires a phone call. The computer doesn't recognize it as a night's stay. I have this problem pretty often!

I checked in to the SLC marriott on the 1st at 1245am for 3 nights and all 3 posted at the same time so I guess it could depend on how soon after midnight? I am guessing if you check in after reconciliations of bills occur then you may run into the posting problem......

It usually works OK for Me, but I do make the res as a late arrival say 11pm the night before even thou I know I wont be checking in until after midnight. Otherwise it reads it as a check-in and check-out on the same day

Actually, I should have been more precise: The problem arises with 1-night stays (which is most of my hotel stays). If you check in at 12:15 a.m. and check out at 9:00 a.m. on the same day, the computer will not give you credit for the night. I always have to call, and this happens to me several times a year.

I just had this problem happen to me on a 2 night stay (only got stay credit for 1 night). I noticed this because I was close to re qualifying for GOLD and needed the 2 nights to reach 50. After calling Marriott they are going to adjust my account, but this doesn't make me very happy as I quite often check in after midnight (when doing air travel as I tend to take late flights), so this means I have to go back over the whole year to see if anything else has been missed...

Hey Marriott, how about fixing this? (instead of just adjusting accounts when people call up to complain). Sign me a not-so-pleased-at-moment long-term Marriott stockholder.
