Finally got the names:

AMS Marriott:

1) has a GREAT Concierge staff (Meredith & Kyra), and
2) Executive Lounge staff (Charles & Denise in the am; Cootje & Cinira in the evenings).

Cheers.

I don't know the lady's name, but the hostess in the Skokie/Deerfield Illinois area Renaissance is the BEST ever. I would go there every few months, and quite often she would even remember my name! She always set the table for me, wanted to set me up with a juice when I left, and was extremely kind and thoughtful.

If they could put a clone of her in every hotel, it would be so awesome. Unfortunately I probably won't be going to that area for a while, so I can't look up her name.

The Sydney Harbour Marriott has the best CL I've ever been in. All of the attendants were extremely helpful, but Matthew was awesome.

The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Posse

I am woefully overdue in reporting what a great team runs the evening shift at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown concierge lounge. I have been in and out of that hotel nearly every week since May, during which time I and my project team misfits (names withheld to protect the very guilty) have established a great rapport with the lounge team. The names of these three awesome people are (in alphabetical order) David, Gwen, and Ray.

During the time my project has been in in Philly, we've whiled away many an evening in the company of these three awesome hosts. They've met our wives, our girlfriends, and our fiancees. MY fiancee still asks me sometimes when I call her from Philly, "Are you in the lounge? How are David, Gwen, and Ray?" And they, in turn, ask about her. It's a great family to be a part of during the many days I've spent a way from home.

We've had more than a few rules bent for us, and the lounge team is constantly looking the other way with our antics (penguins + leather pants + a case of champagne... need I say more)... and it's been a blast every step of the way.

If you are ever in the downtown Philadelphia Marriott, please saunter up the lounge on the 23rd floor. Tell them bpauker sent you... at your own risk, of course. And if you happen to be there on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night, there's a good chance I'll be there, too. PM if you happen to be in the neighborhood!

Anyone else noticed how the evening Concierge Lounge host hovers and is always watching. Apparently they've at least returned the honor bar, I quit drinking wine in there because I didn't want to ask the guy to get it for me.

James Trevino at this location is a great host and is willing to provide excellent insight to the city, the hotel and Marriott in general if you ask him the questions.

Sammy (a lady) & Eric of Renaissance Kowloon.

Sadly, Ren Kowloon will be torn down to make room for new high-rises. Hope they both get transferred to another property.

Panama Marriott

Just returned from a week at this hotel and the concierge staff was great!
Nice selection of food for breakfast and hors d'oeuvres. Fruit, protein bars, chips, water, soft drinks available all day. Charged for wine and beer.

The entire lounge staff at the Mariott in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I have been here 10 days now, and they have 4-5 people that just go out of the way to be friendly and helpful. They have learned my schedule and needs, and never fail to greet me by name with everything I need. I have already sent an email to corporate and will speak to the manager before I check out, also. Just a great experience.
